Update your software

You can upgrade to a new version, update your installed software, or download fixes.  

  • Subscription and maintenance plan customers get new product versions and updates.  

  • All customers get fixes and supporting downloads in the Download Finder. 

Install a new version

If you’re a subscription or maintenance plan customer, you get the most recent version of software when Autodesk releases a new version during a contract term. Subscribers also have access to prior versions.

Product versions are independent of one another, and you can install them at the same time on one device. You can install and run the new version without uninstalling the old one. See Terms of use – Software.

  1. Sign in to Autodesk Account at and go to All Products and Services.
  2. Click View Downloads next to the product you want to install and then download the software. See Download methods for more information.
    Note: For industry collections or AutoCAD including specialized toolsets, click View Items to see individual product downloads.

Update Autodesk products

Autodesk periodically releases software updates to subscribers and maintenance plan customers. They’re available through Autodesk Account or the Autodesk desktop app (Windows only). 

All customers periodically get security fixes, hotfixes, and supporting downloads for some products.  

Update from Autodesk Account

For many products, you can find these enhancements in, and download them directly from, Autodesk Account. 

  1. Sign in to your account at
  2. Go to Products and Services > Product Updates. 

Click Download next to the update you want and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Update from the Autodesk desktop app (Windows only)

The desktop app keeps you informed of product updates, new releases, and new features as they become available.

  1. Review product updates automatically available in the Autodesk desktop app.

  1. Select and install the updates you want.

Export product update descriptions

To plan and prioritize network deployments, download product update descriptions to a spreadsheet. 

  1. Sign in to your account at
  2. Go to Products and Services > Product Updates. 
  3. Click Export To CSV and follow the instructions to open the file in Microsoft Excel, or save it as a CSV file. 
    Note:  All product update descriptions are downloaded even if you apply filters. 

Install fixes and supporting downloads

  1. Visit Download Finder.
  2. Under Updates, Security Fixes & Hotfixes, go to Security fixes, hotfixes, and supporting downloads for all customers.
  3. Select a product and click Show Downloads.
